August 2026 | 1960 1st Addition Frame Vanguard
1960 1st Addition Frame Vanguard. It is a new out-of-the-box 23 HP stock Vanguard engine with a double belt drive system as well as a heavy duty clutch plate and dual belt adjusters coupled with a Silver Eagle transmission. It is a 1960 with an Oklahoma title in my name. It is somewhat unusual in that it is a “First Edition” Silver Eagle frame which is outstanding with the Vanguard engine. It has a Drag Specialties speedometer, a WOLO horn and Bosch oil pressure gauge and volt meter. It also has a steering stabilize, Memphis Shades windshield as well as 12″ 20 spoke wheels. The paint is very special. My painter initially sprayed the basecoat in black. He then over sprayed the black with speckles of green and blue, then laid the clear to it. It really “pops” in the direct sunlight. Chrome was done by Lester in Tennessee (the same plater Arcadia Cushman uses). I built this scooter and can assure you no expense was ignored.

The yellow and red 811:30 models feature 8 hrp engines with chrome covers. The red 811:40 model is a 1956 original with a black and white seat also the 3rd fender or mud flap it’s called that is part is very hard to find. The remaining 3 scooters are show bikes with approximately 5 miles on them, equipped with 23 hrp Vanguards that have been upgraded to around 40 hrp by Don Smith, all personally built by me. These scooters boast plenty of chrome detailing as you can see with speciality features. There are too many features to list individually.
