See Tom's Small's museum featuring Cushman's, Mustangs, Whizzers, Doodle Bugs, and other scooters and classic cars. Dry camping available on the ranch. FIVE STATE IRON BUTT RIDE, Amarillo, Texas
*EVENT: The West Texas Area of the Texas Cushman Club is hosting an Iron Butt Ride that will leave Amarillo, Texas and travel North about 250 miles through parts of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and spend the night in Springfield, Colorado (Starlight Motel - (719 ) 523 - 6236, or Crawford Motel - ( 719 ) 523 - 6276. Day two will go South through Colorado, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and back to Amarillo for a total of about 500 miles in two days. We will try and maintain a speed of 40 - 45 mph. The Comfort Inn Suites located at 2100, I-40 East, at Exit 71 is 2 1/2 miles from our departure location. Colorado Cushman Club, Ruidoso, New Mexico.
*EVENT:
The Colorado Cushman
Club and its New Mexico members are hosting another ride in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
Note that this years meet is a five day event with a three day ride. Ruidoso
is a village nestled in the Rocky Mountains of Southern New Mexico surrounded
by the Lincoln National Forest. Nearby attractions include the Inn of the Mountain
Gods, three casinos, historic Lincoln and Fort Stanton, stomping grounds of
Billy the Kid, the beautiful Hondo Valley, and Capitan, home of Smokey the Bear.
We'll be riding to Cloudcroft (9,000 ft) where you'll be able to view the spectacular
White Sands National Monument in the Tularosa Basin below.

There is in room coffee service but no breakfast. The Arrowhead has 15 rooms,
all non-smoking, and 15 RV sites with full hook-ups. It is a clean, neatly kept
older motel with room to park scooter trailers and a central patio to socialize.
If you want to stay at the Arrowhead, it is recommended that you make your reservations

We will ride Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Sept. 27, 28, & 29th, 2012. Each ride will be about 60 - 80 miles round trip with spectacular scenery. The welcoming dinner will be Thursday night at the Casa Blanca Restaurant where you can sample some of New Mexico's finest Mexican food. The real treat will be after the Saturday ride when we will gather at the Arrowhead motel for the always popular "HunnyBunny" margaritas and a catered dinner on the patio.
